Mac User on Chrome? Read This!
Unfortunately, a new version of Google Chrome browser contains some incompatibilities with the Adobe Flash plug-in and may cause instability when using YouNow. This is affecting ONLY SOME Mac users on Chrome.
A fix is available by Google and they recommend users download their new version of Chrome, called Canary. Its available for download here.
You can also use any browser other than Chrome.
We also have a workaround for those of you who wish to continue to use Chrome:
1. If you are using an external monitor, disable mirroring.
2. Follow these instructions to disable multiple flash plugins within Chrome: http://audioacrobat.wordpress.com/2012/05/21/chrome-for-mac-how-to-fix-shockwave-flash/
Chrome and Adobe are working on a solution and we will have an update for you when this is resolved. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Lastly, having a anonymously browsing plugin such as Ghostery may prevent YouNow from loading completely. We recommend editing the blocking options within the plugin and unblocking YouNow.
