Write and Perform an Original Song and Win!
Aspiring songwriters listen up! Compete for a chance to score a contract with a record label, have your song featured in a movie soundtrack, perform in front of 10,000 people, get a music video of your song produced and be featured in TV!

The Original Song Contest is brought ot you by YouNow an RealityDance.net. Featured on NBC and working with the music industry top bands / solo artist, RealtyDance.net’s motto is “We don’t bully we just dance”.
The rules for the competition are simple: help raise awareness by performing your anti-bullying inspired songs LIVE on YouNow for a chance to win. The open call will start at 4:30 EDT, Monday October 8th on YouNow.com/Music and will run for two hours. The top eight performers will be invited back for the final round on Friday, October 12th at 4:30 EDT, where they will compete for a chance to win the following prize packages:
First Prize:
- Studio Recording of your orignal song
- Your song will be placed in an Official Movie Soundtrack
- Record label contract
- Music video of your song
- Photo-shoot and magazine spread
- Red carpet appearance at movie premier in New York City and/or Phliadelphia

- Does my song need to have music?
Yes, each song performed must be original, with accompanying background music. This music can be played live with an instrument, or pre-recorded and played digitally. You may also be accompanied by an instrumentalist.
- I live outside of the United States, am I still eligible to participate and win?

- Are there any other possible times to perform/qualify?
No, unfortunately there are not. Sorry! - How long should my song be?
Please keep your song to a reasonable length. Remember that unreasonably long or short songs may negatively affect the judges’ perception of your work. - Am I allowed to use curse/swear words in my song?
Use your judgment. Context of the words is highly important, as well as their importance and contribution in making an artistic presentation. - Do I have to stick to a certain genre?
No, you may present songs in any genre, however they must be related to anti-bullying. - Is there an age limit?
Participants must be age 13 or older. - How will this contest be judged?
Participants will be judged based on their creativity, professionalism, production quality, and overall presentation. Audience opinion will also influence the judges’ decisions, so make sure to bring your friends to support!
