YouNow

In our second article featuring YouNow Rising Broadcasters we feature Fiona MacLennan who gave a great performance for the “Describe YouNow” contest. In all 19 people submitted videos and Fiona’s videos was chosen as one of the top submissions. As part of having a top video the YouNow team did a brief interview with Fiona and her answers as well as her winning video are below.

Q1) Where are you from?

A1) I am from Scotland.

Q2) What is your favorite thing about YouNow?

A2) I like that people actually like watching my broadcasts and want to listen to what I have to say. My friends usually tell me to shut up and stop rambling on but here I can do it all I like. I also love how many friends I have made through YouNow like Abigail Lucy Green and Harvey Jacob Willey who are two amazing broadcasters. If I am on YouNow I am usually also skyping people who I have met through YouNow.

Q3) What are your passions\dreams in life?

A3) I really love to draw and have a real interest in the internet and fashion. When I was younger, I wanted to be a fashion model but now I don’t know what I want to do. I would love a career in the fashion business or maybe one that was based around the internet. Most of my time is spent in clothes shops or on the internet so a career in either would be amazing.

Q4) How did you find out about YouNow?

A4) I follow Sam Pepper on twitter and he tweeted about it. I watched his broadcast then was surprised to see someone else on when I came back from dinner. I decided it looked like fun so got in the queue. Here I am over 400 broadcasts later, completely addicted!

Q5) Who is your favorite musician and what is your favorite song?

A5) I listen to a lot of different genres but I don’t really have a favorite. I will always be a committed fan of McFly but recently Harvey, introduced me to Never Shout Never because he covers a lot of their songs when he broadcasts. I love the song ‘Sweet Perfection’ by them.

Q6) What would you like the world to know about you?

A6) I want the world to know that I am me and if you don’t like me then that is fine. I know I am loud and annoying but I am a friendly bubbly person and I will stick up for what I believe in. However I am very stubborn so I won’t always admit I am wrong even if I am. I will always look for the good in people and will not dislike someone just because other people have said bad things about them. If you are nice to me then I will be nice in return.

Q7) How do you feel about Social Media and how do you think it has changed our world?

A7) I don’t know what I would do with all my spare time if Social Media didn’t exist. I also would not have met some wonderful people who have changed my life in many ways. I agree there are bad things with Social Media like the creepy people and also the fact that my generation will probably have all developed some sort of illness from excessive computer usage but I still love it anyway.
