YouNow Songwriter Sensation, Winners Announced!

YouNow’s Songwriter Sensation spotlighted over 100 incredibly talented songwriters. Judge Tamara Conniff from APG, host Luke Conard, and the judges from YouNow were blown away by all of the original songs and talent that came out to compete.

Musicians were judged based on their lyrics, songwriting ability, deliverability, audience engagement, and charisma! After much deliberation, the judges chose the first place winner and 2 runners-up (who also will receive prizes!).

Congratulations to our first place winner, Chase Goehring! Watch Chase’s winning broadcast here.

Chase wins:

1. A publishing contract for his song with APG
2. Working session with an APG executive
3. $333 toward recording his original song

Congratulations to our runners-up, T-RevMusic and Diana Jang, who also will both receive $333 toward recording their original songs!

The YouNow Stand Up Throwdown comedy contest is exactly the night of comedy you always wanted. All of the funny, but from the comfort of your desk chair. Think you’re the next Adam Sandler, Dane Cook, Sarah Silverman, or Mitch Hedberg?

Then join us for the Open Call on Wednesday, May 22nd at 5pm ET / 2pm PT on the brand new channel younow.com/shimmy to be crowned or drowned. Are you YouNow’s best stand up comedian!?

Host Shimmy will be watching and judging YouNow’s Stand Up Throwdown to see who, he thinks, might *just* be as funny as himself.

The finalists from Wednesday’s open call will be invited to compete, head to head, during the Final Round on Friday, May 24th at 5pm ET / 2pm PT on younow.com/shimmy .

RULES:

• Each stand up comedian will get 2 minutes to show the audience what they got.
