YouNow Rising Stars - Richie Mcdonald
Richie Mcdonald is from Dix Hills, New York and is 16 years old. Richies passion and goals are to make his friends and family and himself all happy with whatever career he chooses. Richie discovered YouNow through some famous YouTubers. Richies favorite part of YouNow are all the interesting people on the site.
If Richie could meet one famous person it would be Jesse Wellens from Prank vs Prank because he loves his videos and thinks they are hilarious. Sonya Durant is 15 and lives in Orlando, Florida. Sonya discovered YouNow through her favorite YouTuber Vincent Cyr. Sonya’s favorite part of YouNow is the fact she can interact with thousands of people around the world. Sonya’s main goal in life is to become a film maker and produce or edit films.

Austen Rutella is from Long Island, NYC. Austen’s favorite part about YouNow is the fact that famous people take there time to go on the site and talk to there fans. Austen’s goals in life are to get a scholarship for wrestling. Austen would also like to go to school for business. Austen would like to start his own business one day.
Austen enjoys playing baseball and would like to meet Derek Jeter one day. Austen would like to let everyone know that he understands how things in life really work and that he is very athletic. So you think you can dance eh? Well then… PROVE IT on YouNow’s Dance Off hosted by Johnni Riddlin for a chance to win a YouNow prize package! The Dance Off will be this Saturday July 7th at 3pm EDT, 12pm PDT, 8pm BST on YouNow.com/Dance.
Dance Off Rules:
- Those competing in the Dance Off will have one hour to strut their stuff!
- Whether you’re belly dancing or free styling, all dance styles are fair game.
- Each broadcast is given a TWO MINUTES and is limited to one song, but feel free to jump back into the queue as often as possible.

Peter is a competitive eater and what that means is he participates in eating competitions. Peter states that it is his passion.
Peters job allows him to make TV, YouTube and Eating contest appearances. Peter also enjoys training at the gym, skiing and traveling around the world. YouNow's "1 Minute Talent Challenge" with King of The Web - FINALISTS
The people of King Of the Web have spoken, and the 6 finalists from our 1 Minute Talent Challenge have been selected! These 6 finalists will be competing live on a special YouNow show hosted by YouTube celebrity Michael Buckley next Thursday, July 12th at 7pm EDT, 12am BST on our Shows Channel. The winning video and video maker will then be selected by the audience and the YouNow judges.
Each finalist will have 2 minutes each to broadcast, explain the concept of their video, their talent, and why they should win our 1 Minute Talent Challenge.

In High School, Shannon was president of her National Honor Society and participated in choir, dance team, French club, drum and bugle corps and theatre productions. She was nominated for homecoming court her senior year and was always up for social gatherings and fun times with friends. Her favorite teenage memory was (FINALLY) getting her driver’s license and going to the beach with friends. Are You Super? 7/03/12 Highlights and Challenges for next show 7/10/12
The Are You Super? Show took place in the Shows 2 channel on YouNow.com. Hosted by Donovan “The Prince” Santiago, the main challenge of Are You Super? was simple: be a superhero or villain. Contestants could create their own hero or villain or impersonate one that is already created.
-Street Fighter vs Marvel (Real Life Edition)!
Contestants lined up in the queue where they showed off their powers, and explained how they would help or destroy people. After everything was said and done the 3 people with the highest broadcast score went to the finals. The final challenge was to create a theme song for your character. Here are the finalists below:

Goodbye June and hello July! At YouNow, ushering in a new month means one thing, NEW REWARDS!
HOW DO I EARN REWARDS?
In July we will reward you for recruiting new users. What exactly does that mean? Let me break it down for you.
We reward users that recruit new registered users to the YouNow community DURING THE MONTH OF JULY. The concept is easy - the more NEW users you refer to YouNow AND who BECOME YOUNOW MEMBERS the more rewards you get!
There are 2 ways to recruit new users:
1. While broadcasting: Any new user that comes to the site and registers during your broadcast is automatically credited to you as a recruit, whether you invited them or not! So the more you broadcast and spread the word, the more recruits you gain.
2. By sharing and inviting users: Every time you post a link using the “Share” button, (by tweeting, publishing a link to a YouNow broadcast or profile page via Facebook, etc.) it contains a unique reference to you as the originator of the link. This unique URL gives you credit for every time a new user comes to the site and becomes a YouNow member through the link you’ve shared.
You will be able to view the number of new recruits gained at any time in your “My Stats” page:
The number of recruits gained will also be displayed at the end of each broadcast.
And you can easily find out how many recruits you earned in between sessions in your inbox.
Additionally, the total number of recruits a user has gained will appear in the area below the video screen every 2 minutes.

Brandon is from Wakefield, England. Brandon discovered YouNow while on Sam Peppers facebook. Brandon soon started to broadcast on the site. What Brandon loves about YouNow is how easy it is to interact with the audience. Brandon also has a passion and says it is a big part of his life.
Outside of YouNow Brandon practices a martial art called Aikido which Brandon says he has been doing for 8 years. Brandon wants to let all of his fans know that YouNow has changed his life and that he is dedicated to the site. Brandon is also planning a 24 or 48 hour broadcast for charity in the near future. YouNow Rising Stars - Tobias Lunghi
Tobias Lunghi is 15 and lives in Swansea, United Kingdom. Tobias discovered YouNow through a typing error believe it or not. However he liked the site so much he decided to stay. Tobias’s dream is to be a writer/producer in the field of media. One of his big inspirations is YouTuber Thomas Ridgewell aka TomSka.
Tobias creates many videos and then uploads them to his YouTube account. He calls them “stupid films”. Tobias’s future plans are to do something spectacular live. Something that no one has ever seen before. Tobias is grateful for the opportunity that YouNow has given him. He wants this site to be apart of him for a very long time.
